The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) is warning drivers of upcoming overnight lane reductions on Interstate 215 (I-215) as part of its pavement preservation project. The project will improve nearly four miles of I-215 between the I-15 interchange and Windmill Lane.
Crews will perform milling and paving work, structural repairs, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements, and signal, lighting, and intelligent transportation system (ITS) upgrades as part of the project. Pending weather and field conditions, construction is expected to be complete by winter 2025.
Nightly (8 p.m. to 6 a.m.) Sunday, June 22 to Thursday, June 26:
- Westbound I-215 reduced to two lanes from Windmill Ln to Valley View Blvd
- Reduction to one lane from 12:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m.
8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 26, to 6:00 a.m. Friday, June 27:
- Windmill Ln on-ramp to westbound I-215 closed
Motorists should use caution while traveling through work zones, and take alternate detour routes, if possible. NDOT works with Waze to inform the public about planned highway restrictions. The schedule is subject to change due to weather or other factors.
