Overnight I-15 Resort Corridor Traffic Restrictions Scheduled October 19-23

Post Date:10/16/2025 4:47 PM

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) will implement overnight ramp closures and lane restrictions along Interstate 15 (I-15) near the resort corridor this October to accommodate ongoing maintenance and upgrade work. The following restrictions are necessary to install loop detectors- small sensors embedded in the pavement that help traffic signals detect when vehicles are waiting at an intersection. All work is weather- and schedule-dependent and subject to change.

 9:00 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20:

  • Southbound I-15 off-ramp to East Flamingo closed
  • Flamingo Rd on-ramp to southbound I-15 closed

 9:00 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20 to 5:00 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21:

  • Northbound I-15 reduced to two lanes between Sunset Rd and Tropicana Ave

 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21 to 5:00 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22:

  • Southbound I-15 reduced to two lanes between Flamingo Rd and Russell Rd

 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22 to 5:00 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 23:

  • Eastbound Tropicana Ave turn lanes to New York New York Hotel & Casino driveway closed
  • Drivers can U-turn at Las Vegas Blvd to enter New York-New York Hotel & Casino from westbound Tropicana Ave

Motorists should use caution while traveling through work zones, and take alternate detour routes, if possible. NDOT works with Waze to inform the public about planned highway restrictions. The schedule is subject to change due to weather or other factors.
