Overnight Lane, Ramp Closures on I-215 Preservation Project

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) is announcing an updated schedule of traffic restrictions on Interstate 215 (I-215) as part of its I-215 Pavement Preservation Project. This project will improve nearly four miles of I-215 between the I-15 interchange and Windmill Lane. The following restrictions are necessary for sign replacement, lighting improvements, and permanent striping.

 8:00 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, to 6:00 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20:

  • Lanes reduced on Hidden Well Rd ramp from southbound Airport Connector (SR-171) to Las Vegas Blvd
  • Lanes reduced on north and southbound Gilespie St at Hidden Well Rd

 8:00 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, to 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21:

  • Eastbound I-215 reduced to two lanes between Airport Connector and Las Vegas Blvd
  • Westbound I-215 reduced to three lanes between Windmill Ln and Warm Springs Rd
  • Lanes reduced on George Crockett Rd between Las Vegas Blvd and Bermuda Rd
  • Lanes reduced on north and southbound Gilespie St at George Crockett Rd

 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, to 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22:

  • East and westbound I-215 reduced to three lanes at Windmill Ln
  • Eastbound I-215 off-ramp to Windmill Ln closed
  • Lanes reduced on George Crockett Rd between Las Vegas Blvd and Bermuda Rd
  • Lanes reduced on north and southbound Gilespie St at George Crockett Rd

 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, to 6:00 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 23:

  • East and westbound I-215 reduced to three lanes between I-15 and Windmill Ln
  • Westbound I-215 off-ramp to Windmill Ln closed

 8:00 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, to 6:00 a.m. Friday, Oct. 24:

  • East and westbound I-215 reduced to three lanes between I-15 and Windmill Ln
  • Windmill Ln on-ramp to westbound I-215 closed
  • Westbound I-215 off-ramp to Warm Springs Rd closed

 Motorists should use caution while traveling through work zones, and take alternate detour routes, if possible. NDOT works with Waze to inform the public about planned highway restrictions. The schedule is subject to change due to weather or other factors.
