The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) is advising motorists of significant traffic restrictions near Interstate 15 (I-15) and several major resort-area roadways in preparation for New Year’s Eve celebrations on Wednesday, Dec. 31. The following restrictions will be in place to support public safety and accommodate New Year’s Eve events along the Las Vegas Strip.
5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31 to 4:00 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 1:
- North and southbound I-15 off-ramps to Tropicana Ave closed
- North and southbound I-15 off-ramps to Flamingo Rd closed
- Northbound I-15 off-ramp to Harmon Ave closed
- Eastbound Tropicana Ave closed between I-15 and Las Vegas Blvd
- Eastbound Flamingo Rd closed between Valley View Blvd and Las Vegas Blvd
- Hotel Rio Dr closed at Dean Martin Dr

- Follow all posted signage and directions from law enforcement and traffic control personnel
- Consider public transportation or rideshare services when possible
- Never drive impaired
