The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) will host both an open comment period and a public meeting to provide information and obtain input on potential improvements to I-15 from the California/Nevada state line to the Sloan Interchange.
- Open Comment Period: The public may view information and provide comments at I15StatelineSloan.com anytime from Aug. 24, 2026, through Sept. 25, 2026.
- Public Meeting: An in-person public meeting will be held Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2026, at the South Career and Technical Academy located at 225 E. Starr Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89183. The hearing is open from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., with a formal presentation beginning at 5:30 p.m.

This segment of I-15 is located just outside the Las Vegas Valley Metropolitan area and serves as the primary corridor connecting Southern California and Las Vegas, making it vital for both tourism and freight movement. However, much of this corridor remains underdeveloped. Public input is vital to identifying the long-term needs of this section of I-15.
Specifically, public input will help NDOT:
- Develop an understanding of planned growth
- Evaluate future traffic demands
- Recommend improvements to limit congestion
- Develop a long-term plan for future roadway needs
Information gathering, including public input, is the first step toward developing and implementing the long-term improvements needed for I-15. The next step will be to begin the environmental clearance process, which will build upon the work completed during this study to identify the final preferred alternatives, assess environmental impacts, and determine right-of-way needs.
Once environmental clearance is complete, NDOT will be able to develop an overall phasing plan based on funding availability and advance individual projects into final design and construction.
