Construction Update
Project Overview
The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) is making improvements to the Jones Boulevard corridor in Las Vegas, from Upland Boulevard (just south of US 95) to Smoke Ranch Road. The project is slated to begin in July and estimated to be completed by the end of the year.
The scope of work includes:
- Life-cycle roadbed modification, eliminating roadway fatigue and rutting and improving the substructure to help the road last longer.
- Installation of pedestrian-actuated crosswalks on Jones Boulevard at Carmen Boulevard, Carl Avenue, and Eugene Avenue
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements for pedestrian facilities
